The REEFER G2+ series of reef-ready aquarium systems comes in a huge variety of sizes, includes top-of-the-line infrastructure, filtration, water management and the ReefATO+ system. It is designed to allow hobbyists complete freedom of choice to use all their preferred or existing hardware in building the reef tank of their dreams.

Peninsula aquariums are very similar to standard aquariums but instead of having a single large viewing panel, the tank is turned 90 degrees giving you two large viewing panels. This tank style makes a beautiful centerpiece in any home or office setting. 

Red Sea DELUXE Reefer aquariums have the added benefit of including Red Sea ReefLED lighting along with Red Sea’s ReefLED mounting system– all in a single package!

Every REEFER G2+ model includes a ReefATO+, an exceptionally reliable and smart auto top-off system. The ReefATO+ is more than just an ATO– it also includes an accurate temperature monitor and external leak detector, coupled with a smart controller that connects to the ReefBeat ecosystem.

Extra-fortified Glass and Marine-Spec Cabinets

The G2+ series of REEFER aquariums are constructed from ultra-clear, beveled-edge glass with an increased glass thickness of up to 19mm. These strong glass tanks sit atop newly fortified cabinet stands made of plywood and with Marine-Spec, water-resistant lamination. Each cabinet stand follows the contours of the aquarium glass, with the larger REEFER G2+ models featuring an additional “floating tank” aluminum support. Adjustable leveling feet & stainless steel hinges ensure a lasting and durable stand for your dream aquarium.

Improved Water Management & Plumbing

Up top, the G2+ REEFER systems employ a large overflow box with dual side-facing return pumps for optimal water circulation and increased surface skimming. The overflow box includes a lid which hides plumbing components, as well as easily-removable weir combs for quick cleaning and improved surface skimming. Water then exits from the overflow box and travels down an enlarged and rectangular inlet to the downflow pipe, allowing for reduced turbulence & quieter operation. All G2+ models also include a high precision valve on the downflow pipe, allowing for simple regulation to further tune your flow.

Reef-Ready Sump– Now ReefMat Compatible

As with the previous generation of REEFER, the G2+ sump includes a mechanical filtration compartment complete with micron filter sock(s) and filter cup(s) to keep large pieces of debris and detritus from clogging pumps and other pieces of equipment. This chamber can be alternatively used to house a ReefMat 500 or 1200– no modifications required! Water flows from the filtration chamber into the adjustable-height skimmer compartment, where the water will be kept at a steady level to aid in the best performance for your choice of skimmer, or any other filtration components that you choose to include. The water will then flow through the final bubble trap and into a chamber where the return pump (not included) can be placed to pump water back through the Reefer tank’s return plumbing.

The Aquarium

Red Sea Reefer G2+ Aquariums feature rimless ultra-clear, beveled-edge glass with increased thickness. The central overflow box hides plumbing and allows for effective surface skimming. The removable weir comb makes for easy cleaning.

Plumbing the Reefer Aquariums is easy. Assembly-ready piping is included (no gluing required). The new and improved high-precision valve on the drainpipe makes it easier to fine tune the flow rate and offers near-silent operation.

Fortified Internal Framed Cabinet

Each Reefer-S Aquarium has the same modern cabinet styling you’ve come to expect from a Red Sea aquarium, but now comes with a Marine-Spec Cabinet fortified by an elegant jet-black internal frame made from robust aluminum for even greater strength and durability.

ReefWave pumps provide optimal flow for corals in a wide range of aquascapes, regardless of their position in your aquarium. Building on the popular patented Gyre cross-flow technology, ReefWave pumps are a refined pump design offering smart control features, powerful, nearly silent gyre flow, and easy maintenance that fans of gyre pumps will love. Each ReefWave pump can be controlled via the included controller, or you can access your pumps through Red Sea’s ReefBeat app.

ReefMat 1200 Filter Roller

The ReefMat is the latest in automatic mechanical filtration from Red Sea. The ReefMat comes fully assembled and is designed to hang on the side of the Red Sea Reef-Spec sump. Being one of the only automatic filter rollers out there with app control, the ReefBeat app can alert you if your ReefMat needs maintenance, you’re running out of fleece, or there is an error.

ReeferDC 900 Protein Skimmer

Each Reefer MAX system comes with a perfectly sized Reefer DC Protein Skimmer. With self-leveling technology, a smart controller to connect your skimmer to the ReefBeat app, and a Sicce PSK pump at the heart of the operation, the ReeferDC skimmer is the perfect pairing for the Reefer Aquariums.

You’ll enjoy the small details that Red Sea has worked into this skimmer, like a manual neck cleaner, precision gear regulator to adjust the foam level, and a foam view window to enable you to see exactly where the foam level is in the neck of the skimmer.

(2x) ReefRun 7000 DC Return Pump & Controller

Based on the wildly successful and reliable Sicce platform, the Red Sea ReefRun pumps feature a familiar look and feel, but with some big upgrades. In addition to being able to set the daily flow schedule and activate feed modes, you’ll also get notifications if your pump is running dry, disconnects, or is otherwise malfunctioning, allowing you to quickly fix the problem and get everything back up and running without missing a beat. 

ReefATO+ Auto Top Off System

Every Reefer Max Series model includes the ReefATO+, an exceptionally reliable and smart auto top-off system. The ReefATO+ is more than just an ATO—it also includes an accurate temperature monitor and external leak detector, coupled with a smart controller that connects to the ReefBeat ecosystem to alert you if anything goes wrong.

With Red Sea’s new Slide-Out Control Panels, you can have all your reef monitoring and maintenance devices mounted in a single, easy-to-access location. Affix the panel to the side of your aquarium cabinet and enjoy easy sliding access to your equipment. Constructed from marine-spec laminated plywood and stainless steel.
